Resolution Ideas for the New Year

4:42 PM   ♥   Comment

With the New Year fully underway, it’s time to take a step back and think about the best ways for individual improvement. Even if you’re perfectly comfortable with who you are at this moment, there’s always a new goal worth pursuing. With that in mind, here are a few ideas for new resolutions to take up this year that practically anyone can somewhat easily do.

Learn an Instrument

During a musical performance, it’s almost inevitable that someone in the audience wishes “they could do that.” Well, as it turns out, learning an instrument isn’t as difficult as it sounds. Sure, there’s a learning curve to it, but that’s what learning music for beginners is for. Places like C.R. Carole excel at taking in people that lack skill, but make up for it with a genuine interest in learning how to play music. If you’ve always wished you knew how to play an instrument, but could never convince yourself to take the all-important first step, then now might be the time to consider doing so.

Learn Magic

If instruments and music aren’t your passion, what about magic? Magic can be an excellent tool for other aspects of your life, even if you don’t realize it. Proper magician techniques can help you to make more perceptive of your surroundings, and to have better control of your hands and fingers. If you’ve struggled in the past with clumsy fingers, then picking up a few magic tricks might help you overcome your difficulties. Perhaps most importantly, cool magic tricks are a great way of generating interest at a party, and are an excellent way of helping you stand out among your peers.

Break a Record

This one’s a bit difficult than learning to play an instrument or perform a magic trick, but it’s incredibly fulfilling nonetheless. Breaking a record doesn’t necessarily mean you need to target a popular one either. Regardless of whether it’s most bubbles blown in under 60 seconds, or it’s something even more obscure than that, the idea is to push yourself to your limits. Regardless of whether you actually break a record by the end of the year or not, you’ll at least walk away with an intense appreciation for all of the effort you put into the journey.

The best New Year’s resolutions are the ones that make you take a deep look at yourself, and determine where you want to be next year. By following these tips, you should be able to build on your existing passions and hopefully develop some new ones. Of course, what’s most important is that you have fun in the process and remember to not put too much pressure on yourself to succeed.
